AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (September 28, 2017) – RGIS, LLC, the global market leader in inventory and data collection, announces the retirement of Chief Executive Officer, Brian McDonald, effective October 1, 2017. McDonald has served as CEO for RGIS since December of 2014.
"We thank Brian for his leadership and dedication to RGIS during his tenure as CEO", said RGIS Chairman of the Board, Doug Steenland.
To replace McDonald, the RGIS Board announces the appointment of RGIS U.S. President, George Brown, and RGIS European President, Asaf Cohen, as new Co-Chief Executive Officers, effective October 1, 2017.
George Brown becomes Chief Executive Officer – U.S. and Canada.
Asaf Cohen becomes Chief Executive Officer – International, which includes Europe, Asia Pacific, South America and Mexico.
Both positions will report directly to the RGIS Board.
"Both George and Asaf have leadership experience, customer-centric values and dedication to operational excellence, all of which will position RGIS well for growth" said Steenland. "The RGIS Board of Directors is pleased that we have two very experienced leaders who take RGIS confidently into the future," added Steenland.
George Brown joined RGIS in 2015 as U.S. President of Operations. Before joining RGIS, Mr. Brown spent seven years in senior management positions at Schindler Elevator Corporation where he held the positions of Vice President, Service Marketing and Sales, and Regional Vice President of Operations. Mr. Brown was responsible for providing overall leadership and strategic direction in these key areas of the business. Prior to joining Schindler Elevator, Mr. Brown held senior management positions at United Technologies Inc. / Otis Elevator Co. In these roles, he was instrumental in improving overall business performance through customer segmentation, dynamic pricing strategies, new business development initiatives, and a process and data-driven approach to capture operational efficiencies.
Mr. Brown graduated from William Paterson University in 1989 with a B.A. in Business Management. He earned his M.B.A. from Fordham University in 1995.
Asaf Cohen currently serves as RGIS' President of Europe, and has been with RGIS since 2007. Mr. Cohen has over twenty years of operational and strategic experience in senior management roles, including global sales organization management and international acquisitions. Mr. Cohen excels at driving growth via innovative technologies and products. Prior to RGIS, he founded ISICS Software Systems in 1999, and served as CEO until 2007 when ISICS was acquired by RGIS.
Mr. Cohen earned a B.A. in Economics and Logistics in 1992 from Bar Ilan University, a B.A. in Accounting in 2003 from Tel Aviv University, and an Accounting Management degree from the Israeli Ministry of Law in 2003. He commanded elite armored units in the Israeli Defense Forces from 1992-1997, and also completed an advanced officer's course in combined logistics from the U.S. Army Logistics Academy in Fort Lee, Virginia in 1995.
